I have gone through the process of confusion, stress, frustration, of not feeling well, and feeling like modern medicine alone is not enough. My goal is to help you take control of your health and improve your quality of life.
Hi there!
I am Nora Lorenzo, a nutrition enthusiast and the mind behind @mariterraniament, where I aim to guide people through their health journey toward holistic well-being—nurturing both emotional and physical health.
Originally from Barcelona, I have lived in Brussels, Ireland, Portugal, and Italy. These experiences have enriched my understanding of different cultures and their unique approaches to food.
At 16, after returning from Ireland, I began to realise how fortunate I was to have grown up in the Mediterranean culture, which sparked my deep appreciation for its culinary roots. However, after being diagnosed with Hashimoto thyroiditis and other conditions like gastritis, IBS, leaky gut, anemia, anxiety, and vertigo, I found myself overwhelmed by various diets—from Low FODMAP, gluten-free, and dairy-free, to Paleo, Keto, vegetarianism, and veganism—each promising to improve my health.
Despite trying multiple diets and being prescribed countless supplements, I felt lost and frustrated. The solutions offered were often unsustainable—both financially and mentally. This frustration fueled my decision to dive deeper into nutrition and science, seeking answers that traditional methods hadn't provided. That led me to focus my professional career on better understanding my health needs and which sustainable changes I could implement aligned with my needs and priorities—not only for my physical health but also for my social and mental well-being.
Now, I share what I've learned to help others find balance in their health journeys.
